Journal Title: Renewable energy may save the world from GHG effects of global warming
Date: 29 July 2022

As I expected, the 2022 UNFCCC-GIR-CASTT Programme on Greenhouse Gases helps me gain valuable technical concepts, with lots of practical examples and fun.

First of all, “Extrapolation of future energy consumption in different sectors and subsectors with the increasing the economic status of a country (GDP growth rate) may follow variable trends' said Seungjik Yoo, Professor, Sookmyung Women’s University.
The professor explained how GDP of a country changes the statistical model in different sectors by taking example data of energy and agriculture sector of Korea.
The professor also described us different approaches of GHG emission projections (top down, bottom up and behavioral).

Next, learning of different renewable energy technology by visiting “Seoul Energy Dream Park may become a permanent memory of one’s life who really love the world not being warmer than today.
One example technology that I would like to share with you is the use of triple glass in the window to keep the room temperature comfortable instead of using air conditioning system that runs by exploiting fuel/electricity, leading to global warming.

Along with learning things by visiting, traveling to Seoul Botanical Park helps us see botanical biodiversity in different climatic zones of the globe.

Also, travelling to Gwangmyeong Upcycle Art Centre, and Gwangmyeong Cave to see its eye-catching natural beauty, watch a short film of ghost and take a breath of its natural cool air made the first week to training full of joy.

Coordinator's comments:
It has been our ultimate goal to make the training programme helpful to trainees and also to give much fun. I am pleased to hear that you found those days on which we had lectures and a field trip memorable both in terms of learning and experiences.
I hope Korea's case of emission trends and modeling introduced during Professor Yoo's lecture on Emission Projection helped you to deepen your understanding of the topic and is used as a good reference in emission projection of Bangladesh.
The Field trip was very enjoyable for me too as I was excited to visit such places with you and fellow trainees and see you guys taking photos for each other which made me have a very happy smile.
