This day was meant for a cultural tour. We got to visit the demilitarized Zone (DMZ) that sits on the boarder that separates North from South Korea, and runs across the Korean Peninsula. It contains four incursion tunnels dug by the North Korea. 
We had the opportunity to descend towards the third tunnel through a sloped access shaft, an amazing experience. The third tunnel was discovered in 1978, October 17th. 
Immediately after, at the Dora Observatory, we had the opportunity to view North Korea and the boundary between the two nations.







The day later ended with a lunch, a Korean Cuisine at a popular restaurant near the DMZ. 
I got to experience a boiling pot on the table, with a great tasting soup of mushroom and other vegetable recipes, together with rice.

It was also an amazing experience for me too because getting an approval to enter DMZ is not easy even for Korean citizens. 
Looking at your photos, I came to think that we were lucky that the weather was great (though it was hot at the same time) without rain on this special day. I love blue sky in your photos, Anne.
