Journal title: Second weekend in Seoul
Date: 6/8/2022, Saturday

This is the second weekend in Seoul. Much has been learned from lectures, country presentations, excursions, tours and peer learning. Being, a Saturday, I decided to stay indoors and complete presentations for the upcoming 13th International Greenhouse Gas Conference that is scheduled to take place on 11th August, 2022 at the JW Marriot Dongdaeum Square, Seoul. The theme of the conference is “Key Policy Instruments towards Carbon Neutrality”.
Gladly, I was selected to be among six presenters to a side-event of the conference, with a focus on the Challenges and opportunities with regards to National Greenhouse Gas Inventories.  I find this to be a big opportunity for me to engage with my fellow trainees and other experts in the climate action field at an international arena, thereby building my skills and capacity on climate change.

Despite not going out, I enjoyed lunch at a nearby Indian Restaurant (Pooja Restaurant). The serving was mouthwatering.

Coordinator's comments:
Knowing that your Saturday was a day for making a perfect presentation, no wonder you were absolutely amazing at IGC, Anne. You certainly deserved an award that was presented to the biggest contributors of this training programme. I was overwhelmed with joy when engraving certificates with names of yours and 5 other presenters.
I would like to say thank you once again for accepting our invitation to the conference and for sparing your valuable time to prepare and share with us insighful understanding about GHG inventory of Kenya. I, together with fellow trainees and IGC participants, very much enjoyed learning more about Kenya. I am wishing an opportunity to visit Kenya in the near future and meet with you again.
p.s. Your lunch in the photo on this day looks so delicious and now it makes me hungry. A meal of the day, indeed!
