Today’s class covered several topics related to the Waste Sector inventory reports. Namely, Professor Kim started from the definition of the GHG Inventory, goal and principles elements of national GHG inventory, the division of waste sector categories in 2006 IPCC guidelines and definition of each category as well as the major processes and gases related to GHG emission. 
Professor Kim also discusses activity data on waste generation, waste generation and handling, waste composition, solid waste disposal, emissions from SWDS and estimation equation for GHG emissions from waste sector. 
Professor Kim explained in details the choice of method for estimating CH4 emissions from SWDS in an accurate and professional manner. In addition, he answered all the questions posed by the trainees during the lecture. 
Apart from the theoretical part, practical exercises are given to the trainees, which is very useful. 
The lecture is interactive and have several comments regarding the methodology of the waste sector.

How did you find Professor Kim's lecture? I wonder if you are interested in the waste sector, and also if it is considered as a significant sector in Egypt.
Since Professor Kim has long been an expert as well as a professor teaching international students in this particular sector, I assume he was very familiar with both theoretical and interactive sessions which explains his answers to every question without hesitation.
