Greenhouse Gas Inventory and Research Center (GIR) is delighted to announce that application is open for 2023 UNFCCC-GIR-CASTT Programme on GHGs.
Submission deadline is 30 April, 2023 (KST 23:59).

The 3-week intensive training programme that covers from basics for inventory to sectoral inventory preparation and hands-on exercises, has been known for many of the developing country parties for enhancing their capabilities in responding to climate change.

This year, GIR and UNFCCC are looking for 30 trainees who are current government officials, researchers and consultants who have relevant experiences in GHG inventory or climate transparency related fields.
Entry-mid level professionals who has a bachelor's degree or higher are preferred. 
The whole course will be delivered in English, so candidates must have English proficiency of a certain level.

Applicants shall :

(1) submit the application form at the following link :, and
(2) send the required documents to the Secretariat by email ( to complete the application.

Documents for submission are as follows:

1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)
2. Certificate of Employment 
3. Latest academic degree certificate (Bachelor's degree or higher)
4. Copy of your passport
5. Letter of Recommendation
6. Emergency Contact Form
7. Proof of English 
(Except countries of which official language is English)
  * Please submit one of the following documents as required.
    - English proficiency test certificate (e.g. TOEFL, IELTS)
    - Diploma of bachelor’s degree or higher in a country where English is spoken as its official language
※Applicants who speak English fluently but have no proof of proficiency are asked to send the Secretariat an inquiry on the matter via email at

Those who have successfully submitted all documents will receive a confirmation letter from the Secretariat by email within 48 hours.
